Project description
This work creates artificial stream and tries to question the well-known idea of ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus*: “You can not enter twice in the same river.” In a sense, the piece is an illustration of the eternal human desire to use the nature, making it framed and channeled, thus trying to reduce to a minimum the randomness.
Viewers are invited to experience the allegiance of what Heraclitus said, by putting their hand in the water for two minutes, without moving it.
*Heraclitus didn’t left any written words. Everything we know as his thoughts is quoted by other people.
